Hi there!
Today is Laura Numeroff Birthday and I want to wish her the best.
Last week I sent her an email to tell her we prepared a special unit for author study with my 4th graders because of her birthday.
We called our unit
"If you give Laura Numeroff a birthday she will probably asked for ..."
That's what she said...
"When I was twelve, my mother let me plan my party! As you can imagine, there was way too much cake and ice-cream! My friends and I danced and played some games. Unfortunately, I don't remember what they were, but it was a LOT of fun!
Some good friends are taking me out for dinner tomorrow night. I love Italian food so we're going to Amici, my favorite restaurant!
I have a new book called, SYDNEY & OTIS & THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I don't know if you've seen it but it's a surprise birthday party that goes wrong.
I'm not a big fan of surprise parties so I'm lucky I've only been given one once!
